Oil-lubricated or oil-free rotary vane vacuum pumps are always used when there are no condensable components in the conveyed volume flow or a better ultimate vacuum is required. They are particularly robust, have a functional construction and are suitable both for maintaining a certain pressure level and for evacuation processes. These vacuum pumps are versatile and do not require any operating fluid.
However, continuous operation at atmospheric pressure is not recommended.
