Chemical Process Pumps ISO 2858

suitable for clean or slightly contaminated liquids with low viscosity

TUMA CSN horizontal, single-stage, radially split volute centrifugal pumps, with closed or semi-open impeller, are suitable for clean or slightly dirty liquids with low viscosity. In a variety of designs, all 25 models correspond to the norms EN 22858 /ISO 2858 and the suction and pressure flanges to the ISO standard.

Areas of application for these centrifugal pumps are in the chemical and petrochemical industry, paper and cellulose industry, iron and steel industry and in water treatment plants.

An absolute advantage of the CSN standard pumps is the back-pull-out design, which allows the entire bearing, including the impeller and shaft, to be dismantled while the housing remains in the pipe system. With closed impellers, the axial thrust of these standard pumps is balanced by a wear ring compensation hole system or by back ribs and all impellers are class 6.3 according to ISO 1940, dynamically balanced. The heavy-duty shaft is not in contact with the pumped medium (dry shaft) and closed seals are used to seal the housing to prevent blow-out under pressure. The pump shaft is carried by oil-lubricated, durable, high-performance ball bearings and two angular contact ball bearings are used on the clutch side and cylindrical roller bearings or ball bearings on the impeller side. In addition to the oil seals, a metal thrower is used on these centrifugal pumps to prevent leakage into the bearings. The high-capacity oil reservoir lowers the oil temperature, thereby increasing bearing life. In addition, the cooling chamber in the bearing bracket takes care of the oil cooling. An external seal cooling system can be used if required.

Advantage
  • Due to back-pull-out design, impeller and shaft can be dismantled without having to remove the volute casing from the piping system
  • All impellers are dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940 class 6.3.
  • Heavy duty shaft not in contact with the medium handled (dry shaft)
  • For casing sealing, confined gaskets are used to prevent blow-out under pressure.
  • Pump shaft is supported by oil lubricated, long-life, heavy duty ball bearings.
